By maintaining knowledge and expertise in various categories, Ad Agencies can help companies enhance their image by developing effective ad campaigns. With so many ads gracing the pages of my favorite magazines, something has to really stick out to draw my attention. If an ad can do this than kudos to the company and ad agency involved. Some very effective ads that have done a good job of cathcing my eye are..

1. Leo Burnett
A brief ad that I watched on the Leo Burnett website about the fight against aids really caught my attention. The ad was done for Sidaction and it was very graphic yet did a good job of getting a point across. In the ad there are nearly 100 naked people all participating in sexual activity with one another. They are all bundled together in the top section of an hour glass and slowly they fall to the bottom half and appear to be dead. The ad states that every 10 seconds someone dies of aids and ad does a very effective job of grabbing peoples attention and scaring them with the image of the dead people in the glass and also with facts.

2. J. Walter Thompson
This ad took a more humorous approach to advertisement. It starts out with two parents who bring their daughter outside blindfolded to reveal what appears to be a new car. The daughter goes crazy by screaming at the top of her lungs and jumping into her fathers arms and yelling thank you over and over. The funny thing is the words "As low as $27 a day on car rentals, now thats thrifty!" revealing to the viewers that the car was a rental. Very effective yet humorous ad!

3. McCann Erickson Worldwide
Another humorous yet effective ad targeted towards Verizon users who are sports fan. It shows three couples standing at the window in the maternity ward of a hospital overlooking their newborn babies. One dad begins beating on the glass yelling "You rule BABY!!" and calls the other babies losers. The words hockey fans are like no other come up on the screen. The narrator then goes on to tell viewers how they can recieve game feed on their phones. Another humorous and thoughtful ad that does a good job of targeting a certain crowd!
